Ivedent Lloyd wins! Mark Whitener finishes a strong 2nd At Waycross Ga.
Mark Whitener drove from the back, to finish 2nd, after going to the rear as a result of a racing incident on the back stretch involving the 0 of Mike Nasworthy .Nasworthy would be done for the evening. On the ensuing restart "The Professor" Ivedent Lloyd jr would grab the lead and after a brief challenge from the 101 of Keith Nosbisch and the 47 of Tyler Ivey, Ivedent Lloyd stretched out a sizeable lead and led flag to flag to take the win. Lloyd was also the Zeigler Racing Engines fast qualifier with a time of 18.630.The action would be slowed by 5 cautions with the only incident being the one that involved Whitener and Nasworthy. Jordy Nipper finishing 8th would collect the $300 bonus for being the top finishing driver utilizing the smaller 358 c.i. motor. Johnny Collins, two time and defending champion, would have a left rear flat tire end his night on lap 35.The veteran, Chuck Chitty, was fast but seemed to have issues keeping the fire burning under the hood stalling the car and bringing out the caution 3 times ending his night on lap 33.The UDLMCS would again like to thank the drivers, crews, and race fans who support the series. The UDLMCS will be in action again on September 25th when the stars and cars "Invade the Glades" for the Kim Allen Memorial at Hendry County Motorsports Park. As the points battle tightens this event is sure to draw a full field of cars, don’t wait, make plans to join us September 25th at Americas southern most dirt track.
